A grounded space for untangling what feels complex and hard to name

In-person therapy in Belper, Derbyshire, and online throughout the UK

Sometimes it’s not a single event.

Instead, there is a quiet sense that something has shifted.

You continue to function, support others and keep life moving, while privately feeling emotionally tired, overwhelmed or disconnected.

Perhaps things have not fallen apart, but something no longer feels sustainable.

Together, we can make space to pause, reflect and gently explore what has gradually become difficult to carry alone.

Hi, I’m Jo

I know that reaching out for therapy is not always easy.

Especially if you are used to coping, thinking deeply, supporting others or holding a great deal internally.

My approach is gentle, collaborative and trauma-informed, offering a calm space where experiences can be explored at your own pace, without pressure to have everything figured out. I work with adults and older adolescents aged 16 and over.

Together we can begin to understand patterns that may no longer be sustainable and explore what it might mean to feel more grounded, connected and resourced.

What working together might feel like

An unhurried conversation.

Space to think out loud, without needing to explain everything perfectly.

Moments where something begins to make sense.

Support that helps you reconnect with your own footing, boundaries and sense of self.

A space where you do not need to carry everything alone.

You do not need to wait until things become unbearable to reach out.

A brief initial conversation can help us decide whether working together feels supportive and aligned to you.

A gentle place to begin
